Function Design & System Lead – Japan

Ficus e Logic on behalf of it client in the IT/Engineering Consulting is seeking a Function Design & System Lead to join their team in Japan. This role involves analyzing and comparing functional differences between Base Model and New Model Forklifts, preparing detailed Function Design Documents, and developing evaluation instructions for system validation. The successful candidate will conduct vehicle-level testing to validate functional implementation and performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design alignment and quality.

Additionally, the role encompasses System Engineer responsibilities, including reviewing and understanding existing system engineering processes, identifying improvement areas, and proposing enhancements to improve development efficiency and quality. The lead will standardize and update process documentation, collaborate with system engineers to gather feedback, and monitor processes to suggest corrective actions. Ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards is also a key aspect of this position. Knowledge of mechanical systems, particularly forklift mechanisms and control objects, is essential.
